Group Pickup

Group pickup is a feature that allows all extensions in your organisations to pickup a call. If you are working in a group environment like a sales team or administration office and you hear another phone ring you can answer it. The group pickup feature needs to be activated on the VoIP service to become active if you are using a cloud based telephone PBX system. If you have an internal PBX system in your office (like the Linksys SPA9000) speak to your onsite consultant about configuring the group pickup feature.

Group pickup is a handy feature if you have a follow me scenario going from reception to another user and you’d like to answer the call directly rather than wait for it to get to you. If you are working at a different desk where the phone is not included in the follow me scenario you can now answer the call.
